Career pathway exploration is crucial in preparing students for their futures; it’s why Sebring Local Schools recently scored 5/5 stars for College, Career, Workforce, and Military Readiness on the State Report Card.
Last week, our students visited the Skilled Trades Expo for experiential learning opportunities and career pathway exploration. Students interacted with professionals in a variety of skilled trades as we continue our mission to prepare our Trojans for success after graduation!

Today, we are sharing a closer look at last week's historic state assessment for our district. Last week we proudly shared the highlights of B.L. Miller and McKinley's building report cards and as a result of the combined efforts of both buildings, our district was awarded with 4 stars for the first time in school history!
Since 2024, Sebring Local has made astounding gains in its overall district rating, jumping from 2.5 stars all the way to its current 4-star rating. These gains did not occur by happenstance. Teachers, administration, students, and families dug in. They dug in on data and secured additional resources when needed. Together, our Trojans kept moving forward, achieving incremental growth, creating adjustments, and celebrating progress.
Sebring can continue its mission with data from the state report card. Sebring has a 5- star rating in college, career, workforce and military readiness as well as a 5-star graduation rate, ranking our district as the top 10 schools in the state for preparing students for their futures.
The Trojans showed big gains in achievement jumping 3% in its PI percentage from 75.4% PI to 78.4% PI. This value is from achievement data compiled using the 20 Ohio State Assessments given in ELA, math, science and social studies in grades three through ten.
We celebrate this success with all of our Trojans. Let's show everyone what it truly means to be a Trojan and use this year's results as a springboard toward future success!

B.L. Miller has earned a 4-star rating for the first time in school history and is the result of incremental, concentrated, and sustained growth in areas of progress, achievement, and gap closing. Every component of B.L. Miller's report card has met or exceeded state standards, with three components improving by a star!
McKinley is also celebrating a 4-star rating, the first in school history! Our Trojan graduation rate is among the in the county, while our College, Career, Workforce & Military Readiness is among the top 10 schools in the state!
The remarkable efforts of our Trojan students and staff district-wide can't be measured on a scale, but we are proud to celebrate our state recognition. Today we celebrate our hard-working students and talented educators. These results are also reflective of the immense support of our families and community. Congratulations to our Trojans on a job well done and a solid foundation to continue building.

Ms. April Habeger officially began her role as district Treasurer in May, but we wanted to make it Facebook official! Ms. Habeger brings a wealth of diversified experience to our district from banking to public accounting, and previous district assistant treasurer roles. When she's not working, Ms. Habeger enjoys water sports, reading, roller skating and spending time with her four daughters and white German Shepard.
We are so happy to welcome Ms. Habeger and she is excited to serve our district! Join us in welcoming her to the Trojan Team!
