During McKinley’s “First Day Experience”, grade levels were given STEM challenges to work on together. Students were given materials to build a structure that was both tall and sturdy. Students started the first day working together to problem solve in a friendly competition.

Senior Spotlight Moments:
Mrs. Viscounte (Sebring Superintendent), Principal Clark and the Class of 2026 share a special connection.
The Class of 2026 is special to Mrs. Viscounte as it is the first Sebring class she has had the privilege of seeing from day one as kindergartners to seniors. Mrs. Viscounte started her time at Sebring as B.L. Miller Elementary Principal in 2013; the same year the Class of 2026 started kindergarten.
Principal Clark became McKinley's principal the year the Class of 2026 became freshmen. Now, Principal Clark and our seniors are marking a milestone together: 4 years at McKinley!
It is a special year for our administrative team to watch our Trojan Seniors complete their time at Sebring.

Literacy Under the Lights is back!

Our district was made a little brighter for the first week of school with a visit from The Sunshine Bus. Every student in our district was able to fill a bag with snacks, drinks, a stuffed animal, a book, and some personal care products to begin the school year. Take a look at our smiling Trojans!

Let the final countdown to the start of the 2025-2026 school year begin: See you in one week, Trojans!

Bus routes will be available at next week's Open Houses. See you then!

We can't wait to open our doors to our Trojans again. Take note of our door times for the first day of school on August 21!

We hope to see you all at our Open Houses coming up next week!

Take advantage of tax- free shopping in Ohio until August 14; grab your school supplies!

BL's Back to School Bash is this Saturday, August 9 at the pool! Join us for supplies, resources, and FUN from 12-2 p.m.

It's going to be a great year, Trojans! Here is a snapshot of what the 2025-2026 looks like. See everyone soon!

Happy 4th of July!

We celebrate all the fathers and father figures today!

We are happy to congratulate two retirees from Sebring Local School District: Michelle Campbell (2nd grade teacher at B.L. Miller) and Carolyn Hollback (Intervention at McKinley).
We are so thankful for their countless contributions to our district, the enrichment they provided to their students, and their decades of service to our school. Please join us in thanking and congratulating these two outstanding educators in their retirement!

On May 14, 2025, we wrapped up the year with a festive Family Luau, attended by 159 students and family members. The celebration was filled with special moments and family-centered fun. We had 159 in attendance including students/families/staff. Parents completed the Spring Parent Survey and joined their children in a spirited round of "Pass the Family Coconut"—our tropical twist on Hot Potato—where teamwork ensured no one in the family was left holding the coconut!
Highlights of the evening included:
A unique ukulele performance by our talented 5th grade students
A beautiful Hawaiian Luau dance performed by students.
Hula Hoop and Limbo contests
A fun Hawaiian Tattoo Station where students and families could get festive designs.
We concluded the evening with heartfelt reflections as students shared their favorite memories and experiences from the SA6 After-School Program. It was a memorable way to celebrate a year of learning, growth, and community.

Success After 6 is back!

What We Are Learning Wednesday:
Third grade students were treated to a presentation from the Historical Society about how children learned and played in the past. Students observed a presentation and even had the chance to play with primitive toys that would have been used during recess.

It was a beautiful day to "Pie a Teacher" recently at B.L. Miller! Student Senate hosted the event as a fundraiser in which students paid for a ticket to "pie" a teacher. Student Senate also gave each participant an ice cream sandwich to thank everyone for their support.
Pictured is second grader, Dresden, winding up! A fun day for all (with the exception of the pied teachers😉)
