McKinley High School's Ecology Club is kicking off the season of giving early this year with their annual "Trick-or-Treat for Turkeys" campaign. The student group created decorative jugs to canvas the Sebring community on October 25. The "Trick-or-Treating for Turkeys" event generates donations to purchase turkeys for Sebring families in need during the holiday season.
The turkey-donation drive is the first component of a collaborative effort between student groups. The Ecology Club provides turkey donations for the Student Senate's community baskets distributed to Sebring families during the holiday season. Last year, the McKinley student groups' efforts provided baskets for 36 families. (See the Live Feed section of our website for more images)
