While many school district’s buildings were closed last week, Sebrings’s B.L. Miller’s was full of district staff preparing meal kits. District staff and administrators (including Superintendent, Toni Viscounte, Elementary Principal, Nikki Hanley, and Jr/Sr. High Principal, Brian Clark) served 112 students with 40 meal kits to be distributed to their district families despite the closures last week. Families received food assistance through a drive-through style pick-up and some staff even delivered kits. “Our village always comes together and our staff and administrators are a reflection of that sense of support. We routinely seek ways to provide support to our families before, during, and after school,” remarked Superintendent, Toni Viscounte. Pictured, the staff and administrators from Sebring Local Schools who came into work despite the district weather closures, to pack meal kits for families needing food assistance.
