Tuesday, October 4 - Volleyball Senior Recognition Night. Seniors will be recognized between the JV and Varsity games vs. Jackson Milton

Thursday, October 6 - Last day to purchase homecoming tickets at a discounted price. Tickets are $12.00 per person if purchased by Oct. 6. Tickets are $15.00 at the door. 

For students bringing an out of school guest, forms must be completed and  approved before purchasing tickets. Tickets will be sold during lunch. MCCTC students can purchase tickets before or after school.

Friday, October 7, 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. - Akron Children’s Nurse Practitioner, Rachel Patterson, will be at the Sebring schools if any student needs to be seen by a provider for a well visit, a sick visit, or for immunizations. To schedule an appointment for your student, call (330) 543-7242.

Friday, October 7 - The Queen and King will be crowned prior to the home football game vs. Mineral Ridge.

Saturday, October 8, 7:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. - Fall homecoming dance. Tickets to the dance will be on sale at school.  Tickets purchased in advance will cost $12 and will cost $15 at the door.  The theme for this year’s dance is “An Autumn Evening”.  Pictures will be taken in the high school auditorium as students come into the dance.  Picture order forms are available at the school.

Friday, October 14, 6:30 p.m. - Senior Recognition Night at the football game vs. Western Reserve. Seniors participating in cheer, cross country, football and golf will be recognized prior to the game. Band seniors will be recognized during halftime.

McKinley PBIS School Store Donations

The Sebring McKinley PBIS committee is looking for donations for our school store. This store offers items that students can “purchase” with the PBIS points they earn for being responsible, respectful and safe. Prepackaged food or drink, school supplies and any other items your business or household would like to donate would be greatly appreciated. Please send donations to the Sebring McKinley high school office in care of Julie Naples. Thank you so much for your help in supporting our wonderful students!

Join Superintendent Toni Viscounte for coffee and donuts while discussing the latest topics impacting the Sebring Local School District. Throughout the series, Mrs. Viscounte will be at different locations throughout our community.

Saturday, September 17 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. - Alliance Applebee's breakfast fundraiser benefiting the Sebring Cheerleading program. There will be several baskets raffled as well! Breakfast tickets are $10. For tickets, please see any Sebring cheerleader or contact Coach Cassy at cwynn@sebring.k12.oh.us. Thank you for your continued support of Sebring Cheer. Go Trojans!

Saturday, September 17, 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. - Literacy Under the Lights @ Sebring McKinley Football Stadium. This evening of reading under the stadium lights and other fun activities is FREE and open to the public!

Students in preschool through 6th grade will travel with their families to different stations around the varsity field to read and do activities led by our high school students from different fall athletic teams, organizations, staff and volunteers. Every student in attendance will receive a free book. There will also be prize drawings, including a Reading Nook give-away and a parent raffle!

Everyone is welcome at this event supporting reading in our schools. Bring a blanket or chair and sit and read a book together. There will be great surprises from the Sebring Public Library, including special guest Booker the Bear, Sebring’s Public Library Mascot. Guests can meet Andy the Armadillo from Texas Roadhouse and author Sally Kurjan with Puppy Bernie of the “Bernie the One-Eyed Puppy” Series.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a used book or two from home and participate in a "Book Swap” with other students.  Guests can also drop a new book into the book bin at the event for the students at B.L. Miller Elementary School. 

Food and beverages will be available at the concession stand, with proceeds benefiting B.L. Miller’s P.I.E. (Partners In Education).

A special thank you to event partners including:

  • Texas Roadhouse
  • Tim Ramsayer
  • Volunteers, student athletes, student organizations, Sebring staff, and the community

Monday, August 29, 2:30 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. - Elementary volleyball for students in grades 2-6 begins. Permission slips will be sent home and must be turned in before our first practice. Practice times will be determined after our first practice. Volleyball t-shirts will be ordered and will be $20. All participants will get a t-shirt, volleyball and a pizza party at the end of the season in October. If you have any questions please contact coach Jeana D’Ostroph at jdostroph@sebring.k12.oh.us. Looking forward to a great season.

Wednesday, August 31, 4:30 p.m. - B.L. Miller Cheer Clinic. Forms have been sent home with the students.

Thursday, September 1, 11:00 a.m. - The Sebring McKinley Trojan Marching Band will be performing at the Canfield Fair. Come out and support our amazing students. 

Thursday, September 1, 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. - Akron Children’s Nurse Practitioner, Rachel Patterson, will be at both schools if any student needs to see a provider for a medical condition, or to talk to her about getting any immunizations you may be missing that are required for school attendance.

Friday, September 2 - Orders and money due for spirit shirts. Shirts are available in sizes youth small to adult XXXL. Cost is $15. Contact Coach Cassy at cwynn@sebring.k12.oh.us or see any cheerleader to order.

Friday, September 2 - Any B.L. Miller students that participated in the Cheer Clinic will be cheering at the home high school football game.
