Nikki Freet, a freshman at Sebring McKinley Jr./Sr. High School, was recognized as one of the Ohio Lottery Partners In Education’s Academic All Star students.
The program recognizes K-12 students who have exhibited academic achievement, community involvement, citizenship and leadership in and out of the community.
Sebring teacher Mrs.Keely Kandel nominated Nikki for the award, saying “She strives to do her best in all situations and goes above and beyond academically.”
“Nikki works hard in many ways: in the classroom and in extracurriculars,” says Kandel. Nikki is involved in an extensive list of extracurricular activities, including Student Newspaper, Drama Club, Volleyball, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and Choir - all while continuing to excel in the classroom.
“She is a model student who is also conscientious of others,” says Kandel. “Thank you, Nikki, for being an excellent role model!”
