On Monday, September 26, teachers and student volunteers from Sebring Local Schools served dinner to nearly 150 community members at St. Ann’s Church in Sebring.
Each month, community meals are sponsored by various local churches and organizations. Each year over the past several years, Sebring Local Schools has hosted one of the Community, Fellowship, and Food dinners for the community.
The September 26th meal, sponsored by teachers, consisted of a themed menu featuring Hot Hot Hot Chicken Sandwiches, Groovy Green Beans, Super Duper Salad, Chippy Chip Bags, and Delicious Desserts. McKinley students from the Jr. High Senate and NHS joined in to assist in setting up and serving beverages and desserts.
“Sebring teachers were thrilled to resume sponsoring this wonderful community event,” says Lynn Chiu, a teacher at McKinley who helped organize Monday’s dinner. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community and show our appreciation for their continued support.”
