SEBRING LOCAL SCHOOL KINDERGARTEN SCREENING
We are accepting appointments to screen students for our Fall, 2021-22 Kindergarten classes. Please call Mrs. Mary Harlan at (330) 938-2025 to schedule your child’s registration and screening appointment on February 24, 2021.
Students must be 5 by September 30th of 2021 and live in our school district to be eligible for our Kindergarten class of 2021.
We also have open enrollment for parents wishing to enroll children at BL Miller. If you do not live within the school district, you may apply for open enrollment by calling for an appointment. To be eligible for open enrollment, an open enrolled student would need to be 5 years of age by the date set by their home school district. Open enrolling families would need to register with their home school district first, and then they may apply with us.
Ohio Revised Code 3313.673 states that all first time Kindergarten students must be screened.
Parent and student are required to wear a mask. Parents will need to bring your child’s birth certificate, immunizations records, social security card, 2 proofs of residency, custody papers (if applicable), and parent identification. All Items will be needed at this time, and copied for their record.
Appointments will take about an hour. Your child’s speech, hearing, and vision will be checked at this appointment. A Kindergarten teacher will also assess basic skills including colors, numbers, and letters.
