Our kindergarten classes enjoyed their apple orchard tour on a field trip to White House Fruit Farm. Thank you so much to our All Star Alumni George Clark, Christopher Clemens, Destinee Green, Emma Holodnak and Zane Twaddle for sharing their stories with our students! Two groups of McKinley students attended the first Skilled Trades Expo held at the Canfield Fairgrounds. Our students did an awesome job with their summer reading logs and enjoyed our picnic celebration! The high school marching band had an awesome performance at the Canfield Fair this year! Our Cheerleaders did an awesome job representing Sebring in the Canfield Fair Cheerleading Demonstration! Alex Sheen, Founder of Because I Said I Would, spoke with McKinley students about his inspirational journey and how the concept of promise cards came to be. Our elementary students are ready to learn and looking forward to the 2019-2020 school year! Our students are ready to discover their story this school year, as part of our McKinley school theme - What's Your Story? Sebring McKinley Junior High School offers robotics. Sebring McKinley has a talented and passionate staff, who are dedicated to the students they teach. Sebring Local Schools are 1 to 1 in technology, meaning each student has his/her own Chromebook. Students in Mrs. Walsh's kindergarten class eat their breakfast and work on a project. Positive messages can be seen throughout the walls inside both school buildings. Monday, October 21 - The Junior High Fall Sports banquet will be held in the high school cafeteria, beginning at 6 p.m.

Tuesday, October 22 - End of the 1st nine weeks.

Tuesday, October 22 - The Annual Powder Puff game will take place on the high school football field, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The cost to attend is $3 per person OR $2 & a canned food item. Profits will benefit the senior class.

Wednesday, October 23rd & Thursday October 24th - Third Grade takes the Fall 2019 Reading Ohio State Test (OST) 

Friday, October 25 - B.L. Miller Elementary will be holding its Fall Harvest Party.

 

UPCOMING EVENTS:

Wednesday, October 30 - There will be a CCP Information Night at Kent State University - Salem Branch beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Thursday, October 31 - There will be an American Red Cross Blood Drive in Brook Gym from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. No appointments necessary. Walk-ins welcomed.

Thursday, October 31 - Report cards will be sent home with all students.

Friday, November 1 - B.L. Miller Elementary will have its Snicket Sale.

Friday, November 1 - Seniors involved in cross country, golf, cheer and football will be recognized prior to the game vs. Jackson-Milton, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Band seniors will be recognized during halftime.

 

The drama department will present “The House of Agatha Mystrie” by Robert A. Allen on Friday, November 8 and Saturday, November 9. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the play will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The cost to attend is $5 for students and seniors, and $7 for adults. All veterans (active and retired) will be admitted free.
