McKinley Main Entrance B.L. students are ready for a great school year! We were excited to welcome McKinley students safely into our building on the first day! Everyone at McKinley worked together to raise $3,367.67 for #HopeForBrenden this year! Thank you to Stanley Leone for speaking to our students, staff and family members throughout the school year on the subject of trauma. Our Kindergarten classes are 100 days smarter! What a festive holiday lunch with students and staff at McKinley! Our 2nd Grade Classes had lots of fun interviewing with Santa for an Elf job at the North Pole! A job well done to all of this year's Spelling Bee participants! Our students learned a lot about fire safety and how to be prepared in school and at home! Thank you to everyone who helped make our Trick or Treat for Turkeys Fundraiser a huge success this year! Our 2nd graders put on a delightful Harvest program for families and our PTO provided a delicious Thanksgiving lunch! Thank you to everyone who attended our "Dinner at Our House" Family Night! Our McKinley staff put together a wonderful Harvest lunch for our students! Our Kindergartners enjoyed dressing up as turkeys and eating a delicious Thanksgiving lunch! Thank you veterans for your dedication and service to our country. Millcreek Metro Parks Farm taught our 3rd grade students about harvesting and the very first Thanksgiving! Seventh & Eighth grade students enjoyed a slime making experiment in class! Spanish 3 students put on Skeleton Puppet Shows in celebration of Day of the Dead! Our Spanish students celebrated Day of the Dead! Thank you to Catherine Bosley for speaking with our students about the importance of social media awareness. Congratulations to our newly elected 5th grade Student Senate! We have Trojan Spirit everyday, but especially during Spirit Week! Our kindergarten classes enjoyed their apple orchard tour on a field trip to White House Fruit Farm. Thank you so much to our All Star Alumni George Clark, Christopher Clemens, Destinee Green, Emma Holodnak and Zane Twaddle for sharing their stories with our students! Two groups of McKinley students attended the first Skilled Trades Expo held at the Canfield Fairgrounds. Our students did an awesome job with their summer reading logs and enjoyed our picnic celebration! The high school marching band had an awesome performance at the Canfield Fair this year! Our Cheerleaders did an awesome job representing Sebring in the Canfield Fair Cheerleading Demonstration! Alex Sheen, Founder of Because I Said I Would, spoke with McKinley students about his inspirational journey and how the concept of promise cards came to be. Our elementary students are ready to learn and looking forward to the 2019-2020 school year! Our students are ready to discover their story this school year, as part of our McKinley school theme - What's Your Story? Sebring McKinley Junior High School offers robotics. Sebring McKinley has a talented and passionate staff, who are dedicated to the students they teach. Sebring Local Schools are 1 to 1 in technology, meaning each student has his/her own Chromebook. Students in Mrs. Walsh's kindergarten class eat their breakfast and work on a project. Positive messages can be seen throughout the walls inside both school buildings. Monday, October 26 - Friday, October 30 - Red Ribbon Week at BL Miller! Red Ribbon Week teaches drug awareness and prevention.

Kids are invited to wear the following for each day:
Mon Oct. 26th – Pajamas
Tues Oct. 27th – Neon/Tie Dye
Wed Oct. 28th – Wacky Clothes
Thurs Oct. 29th – Wear RED Day
Fri Oct. 30th – Wear Costumes (costumes must be non-violent and non-scary. Costume masks and heavy face paint are not permitted. Only COVID masks may be on students’ faces.

Starting Monday October 26, Sebring Local Schools Food Service will be offering a la carte items for students at B.L. Miller to purchase. These items will range from $0.50 to $1.00 in cost and includes, but is not limited to, chips, ice cream, cookies, fruit snacks and bottled water.  Students are able to bring in checks to put onto their accounts OR bring cash. How to order

3. Scroll through the flavors and add your desired choices to the cart. 
4. Check out. When entering shipping information, there is a drop-down box labeled “Fundraiser Group” below your address information- select “Sebring McKinley HS”. 
5. If applicable, add the name of the individual who contacted you in the “Sales Person” box.
6. Finish your checkout.
The Junior Class will receive $3.50 for each jar purchased!

Tuesday, October 27 - End of the first nine weeks.

Friday, October 30 - Flu shots will be given to students who returned forms by Friday, October 23.



Tuesday, November 3 - Report cards will be sent home with each student.

Saturday, November 7 - The Sebring cheerleaders will be sponsoring a spaghetti dinner at the American Legion from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Meals will include spaghetti, meatballs, salad and a roll. You may dine-in or have carry-out. Tickets are available now from any cheerleader. Cost is $9.00 for adults and $5.00 for children (12 and under).
