2nd Grade

In order to better prepare your child for second grade we strongly recommend that s/he spend time reading books, writing to friends and family and practicing addition and subtraction facts. We ask that you do not send other things with your child as there is limited storage space.

Supplies that are not on this list will be sent home with your child. The pencils that you send will be collected, distributed and used as needed. Ticonderoga is the only pencil brand we have found that sharpens without the tips breaking off. Thank you!

3rd Grade

  • BOYS: (1) Clorox wipes
  • GIRLS: (1) box sandwich, quart, or gallon size zip lock baggies
  • 1 pair of head phones (sometimes ear buds do not fit the ears of third graders)

  • 3 heavy duty, two pocket folders (of your choice)

  • 2 packages of 24 sharpened pencils (Ticonderoga, please)
  • 1 large pink eraser
  • 24 count box of Crayola Crayons
  • 2 glue sticks
  • 1 pack ½ in. lined wide-ruled notebook paper
  • 1 - 3 x 5 spiral memo pad
  • 1 pair of pointed scissors (no plastic)

BUS RIDERS ONLY- coloring/activity book and coloring supplies (This is to be kept in their book bag to use while waiting for the bus after school.)

There will be times throughout the year that your student will need to refill used or lost supplies.

We strongly recommend that every child memorize addition and subtraction facts through 18 and begin practicing multiplication and division facts.  Also, students should continue to read as much as possible over the summer months.  This will help your child to come prepared for third grade.
