Paolo DeMaria, Ohio Department of Education's Superintendent of Public Instruction, observes an interactive read aloud in Mrs. Kandel's class. Mahoning Valley Historical Society visited B.L. Miller for its Suitcase Presentation. B.L. Miller Elementary hosted Family Fun Night, where students experienced STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics) activities with loved ones. The Cat in the Hat, Thing 1, and Thing 2 visited B.L. Miller Elementary School to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday. These B.L. Miller Elementary 4-6 students won awards for the school's art show on Thursday, February 14, 2019. These B.L. Miller Elementary kindergarten students celebrated the 100th day of school by creating their own shirts. The elementary girls basketball players were recognized during a high school girls basketball game. Sebring Local School District presented certificates to school board members for School Board Recognition Month. Sebring's Drama Department performed The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by Michelle Vacca Great job by the B.L. Miller Elementary School spelling bee participants. Jay Zheng was the winner. B.L. Miller Elementary students touring the Ohio Supreme Court. Ohio Supreme Court Justice Judith French took the time to meet B.L. Elementary School students on their tour of the Ohio Supreme Court. Justice French is a Sebring alumna. B.L. Miller Elementary second-graders interviewed for jobs at the North Pole. B.L. Miller Elementary hosted "Jingle Mingle" to help families improve kindergarten students' reading skills at home. Mr. Linko was recognized by the Alliance Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Laure's annual Christmas food drive enters its 24th year. WKBN and The Alliance Review stopped by to highlight it. B.L. Miller Elementary School's Annual Veterans Day Program B.L. Miller Elementary's Annual Harvest Party Purple & Gold Day during Spirit Week at B.L. Miller Elementary Sebring Local Schools are 1 to 1 in technology, meaning each student has his/her own Chromebook. Kindergarten students enjoying Spirit Week Smaller class sizes means more personalized instruction for Sebring students. Sebring Local Schools are 1 to 1 in technology, meaning all students have his or her own Chromebook. Twenty four elementary students were rewarded with an afternoon at the park for meeting their summer reading challenge.
