Military Support

McKinley Jr./Sr. High School's staff values the many families that live in our community who have ties to the military. We understand that the military youth go through unique circumstances and we want every military family to know we are here to help.

McKinley Jr./Sr. High School honors those who are veterans or current service members of all branches of the United States Armed Forces, including the National Guard or Reserves in the following ways:

  • Free admission to all Sebring Local School's events that are hosted at Sebring's campuses.
  • Fall Football game designated as military recognition night.
  • On the anniversary of 9-11, students and staff show respect by having a moment of silence to remember those who lost their lives and for those who serve to protect our freedom.
  • Veteran's Day Celebration - military guests and families are invited for coffee and pastries, followed by a performance by the band and choir and a commemorative video presentation.  Military guests from each branch of the United States Armed Forces are asked to stand and be recognized while the theme song for their branch is played. The celebration ends with the playing of Taps.
